ὁ δὲ Πύρρος οὐ πρὸς ὀργὴν οὐδὲ τυραννικῶς
ἐδέξατο τὸν λόγον, ἀλλὰ καὶ τοῖς φίλοις ἀπήγγειλε
τοῦ Φαβρικίου τὴν μεγαλοφροσύνην, καὶ
τοὺς αἰχμαλώτους ἐκείνῳ μόνῳ διεπίστευσεν,
ὅπως, εἰ μὴ ψηφίσαιτο τὴν εἰρήνην ἡ σύγκλητος,
ἀσπασάμενοι τοὺς προσήκοντας καὶ τὰ Κρόνια
διεορτάσαντες ἀποπεμφθεῖεν πάλιν πρὸς αὐτόν,
καὶ ἀπεπέμφθησαν μετὰ τὴν ἑορτήν, τῷ ὑπολειφθέντι
τῆς βουλῆς ζημίαν θάνατον ψηφισαμένης.
