τὰ δείν᾽ ἐκεῖν᾽. Creon's threats were addressed to all the guards: cp. 305 ff. τὸν ι νέκυν: so O. C. 351 “τὰ τῆς ι οἴκοι διαίτης”: Ph. 263“ὃν οἱ ι δισσοὶ στρατηγοί”: El. 879 “κἀπὶ τοῖς ι σαυτῆς κακοῖσι”. So Aristoph. Eccl. 452 “οὐδὲ τὸν ι δῆμον”. Aesch. places the art. thus only when it is a pronoun ( Aesch. Ag. 7“τῶν”: Aesch. Theb. 385, Aesch. Eum. 137“τῷ”). In Eur. no instance seems to occur.
