Re-volv′ing-pan mill.

A mill for grinding mortar, etc. The pan a is caused to rotate by a pinion on the shaft of the pulley b, which engages a circular gear on the bottom of the pan. Its rotation causes the rollers c c′, journaled in bearings in the uprights of the frame, to revolve and comminute the material beneath, which is directed toward them by curved scrapers.
