In Fig. 3526, the enameling mixture is thoroughly stirred within the chest A by stationary and revolving brushes B C; falling through the diaphragm D to the chamber F, it passes through the gate a to the spout G, whence it is admitted by the adjustable screw-valves b c to the brush-roller I, rotating within a cylinder having an opening at its lower side, through which the brushes spread the enamel on the sheet of paper passing along on the endless belt J. This is revolved by two cylinders L L, having fingers i i, which clutch the sheet when presented to them, and after carrying it past the spreaders N and blenders P fall and release it.
