Mar′blesaw′ing Machine′.

A machine in which the saws are reciprocated by mechanical means. In [1393] the example (Fig. 3060) the saw is operated by pitmans and eccentrics.

Fig. 3061 is a plan view of a machine in which the saws may be adjusted to saw a block into pyramidal forms. Guide-blocks, provided with rollers over which the belts pass, are secured within slots on each side of the saw-frame, by which the saws are adjusted to operate at various angles and at different distances from each other.

Fig. 3062 is a machine in which the block is adjusted on centers and rotated against the saw, so as to cut the block into a cylinder or a conical frustum. The rod or wire saw has a triangular crosssection.
