πρόβλητος goes closely with the datives: Her. 9. 112“τοὺς μαζοὺς κυσὶ προέβαλε”. Cp. Hor. Epod. 6. 10proiectum odoraris cibum. ἕλωρ, an epic word, once used (in the plur.) by Aesch. , Suppl. 800 “κυσὶν δ᾽ ἔπειθ᾽ ἕλωρα κἀπιχωρίοις ι ὄρνισι δεῖπνον οὐκ ἀναίνομαὶ πέλειν”. Cp. Il. 1. 4“αὐτοὺς δὲ ἑλώρια τεῦχε κύνεσσιν ι οἰωνοῖσί τε πᾶσι”. Ajax forebodes that, as a public enemy, he will suffer the doom which Achilles assigns to Hector ( Il. 22. 354), Creon to Polyneices ( Ant. 205), and Electra to Aegisthus ( El. 1487). The Atreidae, in fact, so intended (1064 f.).
