τῷδε δ᾽ οἴχομαι. The dat. of relation here means, ‘so far as concerns him,’—so far as his intention went; as in Ph. 1030“τέθνηχ᾽ ὑμῖν πάλαι”. In 970 above the similar dat. (“θεοῖς”) has a different shade of meaning.
