Book CXXXVII.

The states of Germany, situated on either side of the Rhine, are attacked by Drusus. The insurrections, excited by the taxes levied in Gaul, were suppressed. [Y.R. 740. B.C. 12.] An altar was dedicated to Caesar at the confluence of the Arar and the Rhone, by Caius Julius Vercundaris Dubius, an Aeduan, appointed priest for that purpose.
