τὸ δὲ πρὸς δύσιν μέρος οὐκ εἶχε
πύλην, ἀλλὰ διηνεκὲς ἐδεδόμητο ταύτῃ τὸ τεῖχος. αἱ στοαὶ δὲ μεταξὺ
τῶν πυλῶν ἀπὸ τοῦ τείχους ἔνδον ἐστραμμέναι πρὸ τῶν γαζοφυλακίων
σφόδρα μὲν καλοῖς καὶ μεγάλοις ἀνείχοντο κίοσιν, ἦσαν
δ᾽ ἁπλαῖ, καὶ πλὴν τοῦ μεγέθους τῶν κάτω κατ᾽ οὐδὲν ἀπελείποντο.
