ὁ δ᾽ ἀπὸ τῆς Ἀχαΐας, ἔνθα συνῆν τῷ Νέρωνι,
τὸν μὲν υἱὸν Τίτον ἀπέστειλεν ἐπ᾽ Ἀλεξανδρείας τὸ πέμπτον καὶ
δέκατον ἐκεῖθεν ἀναστήσοντα τάγμα, περάσας δ᾽ αὐτὸς τὸν Ἑλλήσποντον
πεζὸς εἰς Συρίαν ἀφικνεῖται κἀκεῖ τάς τε Ῥωμαϊκὰς δυνάμεις
συνήγαγε καὶ συχνοὺς παρὰ τῶν γειτνιώντων βασιλέων συμμάχους.
