μὲν here is not answered by ἀλλ̓ in 72. ἄροτον, ploughing-season ( Hes. Op.448), hence, ‘year’: cp. 825. So “πόα”=‘summer,’ Rhianus ap. Paus. 4. 17 § 6 “χείματά τε ποίας τε δύω.—ἐν μήκει χρόνου”, ‘at the full length of that period,’ i.e., from beginning to end of the year. Λυδῇ: Omphalè: see on 252.
