The weather

--Snow began to fall about six o'clock last evening, but from appearances it looked as if it would soon turn into a rain. The ground is thoroughly saturated with moisture. The river was very high yesterday, and the water in Shockoe Creek stationary and nearly on a level with the cellars in the vicinity of the Old Market.
