Resignation of a policeman.

--W. H. Tyree, one of the recently appointed policemen, tendered his resignation on Saturday. This is the only one of the force that has resigned.-- Caleb Crone, who was elected one of the officers, declined the position, and E. H. Chalkley, who was also elected, did the same thing, but was induced to remain. The new police seem to be faithfully attending to their duties as conservators of the public peace.
