Hiring servants.

--Every person hiring a servant for the present year should bear in mind that in promising to pay the exorbitant prices asked, because of the depreciation of the currency, the bond given may, before the end of the year, be worth ten or twenty times its present value. Congress is now laboring to improve the present currency, and if it succeeds in doing so the new issue will be but little, if any, below the specie standard.
