Atlanta, Dec. 29.
--Houston dates of the 3d received. Gen. Kirby Smith has taken the held against the Yankees in Arkansas. The enemy hold Little Rock with about 5,000 men, under Gen. Steele.

In Texas the Yankee invasion is the sole topic with young and old, pressing to the scene of action with unprecedented unanimity. Negroes and cattle were being taken to the interior, stripping the coast for fifty miles. The enemy were at Matagorda Pass, to prevent an advance along the beach to the mouth of Braxos river.
