Police Items.

--The Mayor disposed of the following budget yesterday:

James McCormack, stealing $500 worth of beef and bacon from some person unknown. McCormack was at "Mechanics' Home," when a wagon drove up with the meat. The proprietor of the house being absent, he aided the driver in lifting out the barrels, at his request. He was discharged.

’ James Sharp, for abusive language to John J. Morris, was held to ball.

Michael O'Donald, beating a negro without cause, was bound over.

Wm. C. Hebener, for assaulting and heating with a hatchet Adolph Butel, is to have another hearing.

Margaret Small, for threatening violence to Joannah O'Brien, was reprimanded and then discharged.
