The city was very quiet on Wednesday night. The civil police found but little to occupy their attention. The very few petty offenders arrested on that night were let off yesterday morning after a night's incarceration in the cage. The Head of Police appeared at his usual place of business in the City Hall yesterday morning, but there was nothing to reward his enterprise.

Joseph Augustine was fined $5 for allowing his culvert to remain stopped up, and thereby create a nuisance, after which the Court adjourned.
