--The people of Henrico have shown an earnestness of purpose and a zeal in well-doing in the present contest that entitles them to the highest praise. Eight companies, of the full complement of men, have been thus made ready for service, and several companies are now forming. The Guards, of District No. 3 organized last week by the election of G. C Hanes as Captain and James M. Carter as First Lieutenant. The company is composed of the very best material in the county, and will, in proportion to their numbers, do as much damage to the enemy, when vis-a-vis, as any other corps in the service.
