Thuc. ii. 60, where Pericles says οὐδενὸς οἴομαι ἥσσων εἶναι γνῶναί τε τὰ δέοντα καὶ ἑρμηνεῦσαι I think I am inferior to none in both seeing and explaining what ought to be done. ἀναπείθοντα: by persuading. διατιθέναι: disposed. Cf. διατιθείς An. i.1.5 μηδαμοῦ: of no account. Cf. Plato Gorg. 456 C. πρὸς ἑαυτόν: in comparison with him.
