The Legislature.
A large number of bills were communicated to the
Senate from the
House yesterday, which were referred.
A bill was reported to amend the act in regard to fiduciaries.
Also, a bill to amend the act authorizing the Court of Appeals to hold its sessions at other places than at
Lewisburg.
And a bill to authorize the funding of certain currency belonging to the
State in Confederate bonds, and to authorize the sale of such bonds if necessary.
The bill confirming and amending the charter of the
Richmond Glass Company was passed.
A substitute for the bill to provide a fund abroad for the use of the
State was adopted, and the subject discussed at length.
Laid on the table finally.
Mr. Randolph presented a bill to regulate
auction sales.

In the
House, the entire session was consumed in the amendment and discussion of a bill to prevent the unnecessary consumption of grain, fruit, sorghum, &c., by distillers and manufacturers of spirituous and malt liquors.
The bill was ordered to its engrossment.
