The crops.

--The wheat crop in Mississippi (says the Mississippian,) looks very promising — In fact, it could not be better. There is a large surface of the soil in wheat, promising flour in abundance after the May harvest. If there are no more frosts that State will furnish wheat enough to supply half the Confederacy in flour for the next year. A business letter received by the Columbus Enquirer, from Lee county, Ga., says:

‘ "The high price of flour has induced planters in this section to sow wheat more extensively, on better land, and more thoroughly prepared. Everything seems to indicate that there will be an abundant harvest this year, as the crops never looked more healthy than at present."

’ The Educational Journal, (Forsyth, Ga,) says:

‘ "The wheat prospect is flattering. Our farmers tell us that it never was so good as at present in old Monroe."
