Sergie and Bank Notes.--The premium for gold is still 34.
The demand has slackened, however, and brokers are not offering more than $3.25 Bank notes of this State, the Carolinas and Georgia, are now held at 75 per cent premium.
The buying rates are 6 @70.
Baltimore bank to a $2 of premium.
Ponds and Stocks--We renew last quotations, viz; Confederate bonds (100 M) .00 and interest; do. do. (15 h) 115 and interest; Virginia sixes, registered 106; North Carolina sixes available north of the Potomac 150--now held at 155 North Carolina eights, 116 and interest; Missouri sixes, 140; Farmers' Bank stock, 111; Virginia and Tennessee Railroad, 2d mortgage bonds, 111 and interest; Richmond and York River Railroad stock, 50; Richmond Fire Association, 15; Virginia life and Marine Insurance, 45.
Produce--Wheat — The millers would now pay $84.10 per bushel for prime red and white; but considering the risk of a seizure of flour by Government agents at an arbitrary valuation, it reviewed as the part of prudence to offer prices for wheat which might entail upon them serious loss.
The Flour market is unsettled, and we renew last quotations: Superfine, $28; Extra, $30; Family, $3 @5 Corn, $4.75 per bushel, with an advancing tendency.
Corn Meal, $5 Cats, $5.00 and very scarce.
Bacon shows a slight advance since our last report, and hoground may now be quoted at $115@.25 Butter, $250@ :75 per lbs.--retailing at $5@ 107 Lard, $11@ 125.
Dried Apples, $8 @8.50 do Peaches, $10@15 per bushel.
Irish Potatoes $@ per bushel.
Onions, $10 per barrel.--Beans, $8@10 per bushel.
Peas, $7@8.
Clover seed, $25, Timothy, $8 per bushel.
Tobacco--The market is animated, with a constant upward tendency in prices.
From sales at Tobacco Exchange to-day we quote: Common Dugs $.3 50 @15 50; good do, $.5 50@30; Common Leaf, $.5@15; Fine, $.5@50, Good Manufacturing $35@ 02.
Real fancy tobacco would bring higher prices.
Groceries--Brown Sugar, 95 @ $1 05--Arm.
Molasses, $8 50 per gallon.
Coffee, $3 20 per lbs.--Salt, 20., per lbs. Rice 18c per lb by the Black Tea, $@2; Green $1 @ 5 per lb.
Auction Sales--At Messrs Tardy a Williams's sale yesterday, brown sugar in bbds, brought 95½@ & 04½; in barrels $1 03@1 15½ molasses, $8 : 7@ $62; coffee, $3 55; whiskey, $25 75; rice 114@ 8 cts. At Messrs Robinson, Adams-- to day brown sugar, in barrels, brought 96@8 06; golden syrup, $8 75; salt 35; coffee, $3 50@ 06; manufactured @ 35 to $1 95 per lb.
