Off for the seat of war.

--The Fourteenth Regiment, N. C. State Troops, left this city on Thursday, for the seat of war. Prior to embarking, the men were addressed at the request of their officers, by Hons. A. W. Venable and W. S. Ashe, who pledged themselves that the wives and little ones of the soldiers should be tenderly cared for in their absence. Col. W. J. Clarke responded eloquently, and pledged the regiment to die to a man in the field to return with honor. Lieut. Col. T. B. Venable also submitted a few remarks, which were received with a warm welcome.
