Washington,April 7.

--The Indians and Mexicans in Texas are the objects of the army and navy expedition now fitting out at New York — so say intelligent army officers. They will re-occupy Brazos, Fort Brown and the forts on the Indian frontier, where, according to official information, they will be met with a cordial welcome by the settlers.

Gov. Houston has given full advices to the Federal authorities here, and the result anticipated will be to re-establish him as Governor. It is believed the battle between the two Confederacies will be fought on Texas soil.
