However, besides this, it is absurd, when all have
given false evidence, to demonstrate who did the greatest amount of harm,
instead of making each one prove that he has himself testified to the truth. It
is not by proving that another has done more outrageous things than himself that
a witness is to be let off, but by showing that he has himself given testimony
that is true.
