Sphragi'tides

（*Sfragiti/des), a surname of a class of prophetic nymphs on mount Cithaeron in Boeotia, where they had a grotto called σφραγίδιον. (Plut. Aristid. 9 ; Paus. 9.3, in fin.; Plut. Sympos. 1.10.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
