Transportation of cotton.

--Thirty thousand bales of cotton, says the Boston Journal, passed through Worcester last week, on its way to Lowell and Lawrence, most of which came from Memphis, by railroad. The Grand Trunk Company are making extensive arrangements for the transshipment of cotton direct from the Mississippi to the East. The Michigan Central Road is doing an immense business in connection with the Illinois Central in the transportation of products from Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri.
