CORRI´GIA

1. A shoe-string or boot-lace (Cic. de Div. 2.4. 0; Varr. ap. Non. p. 448, 26), which was sometimes made of dog's skin (Plin. Nat. 30.35). [See an illustration under CREPIDA]

2. In the Edict of Diocletian, p. 26, it is used for a whip-lash or a horse's rein.
