A National Foundry.
--The Raleigh Standard calls the attention of the Confederate Congress to the immense beds of coal and iron on Deep river, N. O., and zealously urges the establishment of a National Foundry there.
The coal, it is said, is equal to the best Cumberland, and the iron ore, by a cheap process, can be easily rendered equal for gun and cannon purposes to the Marshall iron of England or the importations from Norway, formerly used at Harper's Ferry.
