Main, between 13th and 14th streets, they were more successful, and succeeded in arresting one of the dealers, named Joseph Mowbray, besides capturing three faro tables, a deal box, lot of checks, cues, &c. Mowbray was before the Mayor yesterday, anMowbray was before the Mayor yesterday, and the following evidence was given by the officer (Mr. Benj. M. Morris,) who arrested him: "On Monday night last I went to the establishment in which the prisoner was found, on Main, near 14th street. Not being able to gain admittance, I had to breaarticles of furniture which are out there, (pointing to another part of the room,) and took in custody this gentleman, Mr. Mowbray. There also came into my possession, in addition to three faro tables, a large number of cards, one deal box, some checks, cues, &c." At the conclusion of Mr. Morris's testimony the Mayor asked Mowbray if he had any questions to ask the witness, to which M. replied that he had not at that time; he would be very thankful if the Mayor would continue the case till so
