the Alabama Legislature called together --attack upon Columbus, Missouri--Discomfiture of the Federals--Railroad Accident. Montgomery, Oct. 9. --Governor Moore has issued a proclamation calling the Legislature of Alabama together on the 28th instant, in advance of the usual time. Mobile, Oct. 9 --Passengers by this morning's train report that the Conestoga and another gunboat attacked Columbus on Monday morning, throwing shells and shot. The batteries replied, striking the gunboat, knocking down the smoke-stack and injuring them otherwise severely. They retreated in a sinking condition. A freight train collided with a passenger train on the Mississippi Central Railroad on Sunday last, injuring the freight and cars considerably. "Nobody hurt."
