Volunteer relief Association.
--We are requested to ask the collectors for this Association, for the relief of the poor, to pay over, promptly, any money they have collected, to the Treasurers of their Collecting Committee, Samuel J. Harrison, Esq. They are, also, requested to collect any subscription which has not yet been paid.
Those who may be disposed to aid in this good work, can do so by making contributions to any member of the Executive Committee, or the chairmen of the various Divisions, or to John Stewart Walker, the Treasurer of the Association.
The gentlemen who have been engaged in this good work, have divided the city into eight divisions, with a chairman, or supervisor for each.
These divisions are sub-divided into 54 districts; to each of which two active gentlemen are appointed.
They are volunteers in aid of this laudable undertaking, and it is their duty (which they have well discharged) thoroughly to canvass their district, to see the poor at their
