Ingram to furnish the citizens with a sufficient and regular supply of fresh beef at a price considerably below the market value. Mr. S. prefaced the reading of the proposition with a few pertinent remarks, in the course of which he stated that the scheme had been examined and approved of by Messrs Alex. Garrett and Thos. W. McCance, the principal managers for the distribution of supplies, who thought it of sufficient importance to demand an extra meeting of the Council.
