r of his country and his race to assist in crushing out the Rebellion and treason now existing in the Southern States. Resolved, That the town of Malden, true to its ancient history, will furnish the men and means to the extent of her ability for this object; and we recommend the immediate formation of a company of volunteer militia to aid in preserving the Government of the United States.
