Kitchen burnt. --The kitchen of Mrs. Childrey, in Henrico, was entirely consumed by fire, with the furniture, last Tuesday night, and but for the prompt arrival of Lieut. Crawford and a portion of his command, the elegant dwelling would have been also destroyed.
Bribing a Sentinel. --Wm. Crawford alias Fleming Razor, escaped from Castle Thunder at an early hour yesterday morning. About two o'clock he was observed by some person confined in the building to go to one of the windows and whisper a few words to the sentinel who was designedly, as it is supposed, standing near by. At the usual six o'clock examination of the different prison wards Razor was missing, when, upon an investigation, it was ascertained that he had bribed the sentinel on duty on that side of the prison and passed out of the rear way. As soon as these facts became known, the faithless guard was placed under arrest.
