Mayor's Court. --Recorder James K. Caskie officiated in this court yesterday in the absence of the Mayor, whose services were devoted to the benevolent object of procuring assistance and nourishment for the suffering soldiers now in our midst. The following cases were disposed of: Anthony, slave of Samuel Moore, was charged with buying eggs in the Second Market to sell again in violation of the ordinance governing the sale of country produce. He had bought at different places in the market a considerable sized basket full of eggs, which, upon being questioned by persons who had observed him, he said were partly for his own use and the rest for sale.
