οἱ δ᾽ ἀρχιερεῖς εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν τὴν πληθὺν
συναγαγόντες ὑπαντᾶν τοῖς Ῥωμαίοις παρεκάλουν καὶ πρὸ ἀνηκέστου
πάθους τὰς σπείρας δεξιοῦσθαι. τούτοις τὸ στασιῶδες
ἠπείθει, καὶ διὰ τοὺς ἀπολωλότας τὸ πλῆθος ἔρρεπεν πρὸς τοὺς
